JENKEM VOL. 3

250+ pages of interviews, photo essays, long reads, and more all packed into a fancy hardcover book.

We focused our time and effort on telling stories we’ve hunted for years but just couldn’t get. There are always those stories that are incredibly elusive, be it due to fickle personalities or endless games of phone tag. We tried to go the extra mile to create something that covers the past, present, and future of skateboarding.

Now available in skate shops across North America, UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

JENKEM: THE FIRST 10 YEARS

We dug through our archives, sifted through hard drives, and checked under our mattresses to pull our greatest hits, misses, and almosts. Altogether, it became this commemorative printed photo gallery, filled with behind-the-scenes flicks, drunken memories, and random office trinkets we’ve collected over our first 10 years in operation.

The final product is an 8.5” x 11” collectible magazine, 160 pages in length, limited to 500 copies, sold exclusively at skate shops around the world.

Every week for the last 10 years we’ve had the opportunity to tell stories about other people, other events and other companies. Now it feels appropriate to share some of our own.

CONS X JENKEM JACK PURCELL

Celebrating our long-standing relationship with Converse CONS, we stripped down their timeless Jack Purcell and stitched our own mantra, “Look Alive,” onto the tongue.

The shoe’s exterior is a discreet mix of premium leather and suede. The details seem simplistic from far away, but become more enticing and deliberate up close. The interior is directly influenced by the spontaneity of New York nightlife, featuring club flyers you’d find on any corner near our HQ in Brooklyn. Accented with gold eyelets and a gold embossed Jenkem, it all sits on top of a bone outsole. Boasting reflective 3M along the heel and a satin draped tongue, our shoe gets more seductive as the day goes on.

The Jenkem JP Pro is designed to welcome the unexpected.

HUF X JENKEM CAPSULE

Commemorating HUF and Jenkem’s longstanding partnership, “The Secrets of Skateboarding” collection features a full range of clothing and accessories, and an activity book that will challenge you with a series of puzzles, activities, and semi-holy texts on your journey to become a fully enlightened skateboarder.

CARMELO’S X JENKEM CAPSULE

When the pandemic hit in 2020, a lot of New Yorkers’ favorite businesses suffered. As an effort to support the beloved dive bar Carmelo’s, Jenkem designed and produced a run of co-branded merchandise celebrating the special place the establishment holds in the hearts of the local community.

JENKEM VOL. 1

After half a decade of producing content purely online, we finally put Jenkem onto paper in 2016. This was the very first printed edition of Jenkem, aptly titled Jenkem Vol. 1.

Circulation was global, with stockists across the US, Europe, and Asia.

JENKEM: BEGINNINGS

“We put 19 tracks onto a compilation record titled Beginnings. Totally cross-genre, the artists all have their own vibe, with not much in common except skateboarding and the fact that we met through Jenkem in some way or another.

You might not like every single track (or maybe you will), but if you are into music – or just like the album cover by Ed Templeton – there’s definitely something in there that should get you psyched.”

THE ACEMOMA EP

AceMo and MoMa Ready are two skateboarders who make electronic music out of Bushwick, Brooklyn. They are staples in the local DJ scene and have successful solo careers, but came together musically as AceMoMa for the first time on this special four-track EP of House / Techno and Drum & Bass.

Together they’ve crafted a sound that captures the contrasting grit and shimmering new energy found in New York City’s electronic music scene.”
